Reorganization and PMO of the contact strategy for the marketing service of a BUSINESS UNIT

PROJECT OUTLINE

  • The business unit has to carry an unusual number of product launches over the year with limited staff. The marketing teams need support to handle the different aspects of the contact strategy.
  • Set up a transversal organization allowing the marketing and communication professions to no longer work in silos.
  • Management of the global roadmap of each project and monitoring of deliverables.

PROJECT APPROACH

  • Creation of a “contact strategy” pilot position, responsible for all BU projects, and redefinition of the roles and scope of each stakeholder.
  • Setting up regular multi-business meetings for each of the launch projects, in order to share information from each marketing and communication function.
  • Construction of a monitoring table for the various deliverables and steering of the business lines.

RESULTS

  • New and more efficient “contact strategy” organization: time saving in the search for information for the product managers, coordination of the trades and identification of synergies.
  • Successful execution of the launch plan and harmonization of messages for three major parallel launches.
  • Shared reference tool for tracking project progress.
  • Regular communication on projects to relevant teams and countries.
  • More transversal vision of the marketing teams on the projects in progress of the other ranges.
