As part of a conference on the metaverse, Pagamon was present at the BpiFrance Hub to discuss the different visions and perspectives of companies about immersive digital worlds.

One of the flagship projects of Web 3.0 is the Sandbox project, a decentralized virtual world, which will allow anyone to become a creator and owner of a virtual plot of land. Since the number of plots is limited, owning a piece of land in the metaverse can be very profitable. To accompany the development of the metaverse, some people are even talking about the idea of creating a new monetary system based on blockchain technology and using cryptocurrencies.

Considered today as a real estate opportunity, virtual lands raise several issues including the definition of new digital boundaries and social interactions. While some companies like Vivendi or players in the culture industry have invested in 9 hectares of metaverse, others remain skeptical about the legal framework and the limits of a possible “meta-creativity”.

And you, what kind of company do you belong to?
