Mapping of the activities of the Scientific and Medical Affairs department

PROJECT OUTLINE

  • Following a change in strategy, the laboratory has been reorganized, with the creation of a Scientific and Medical Affairs Department (DASM) comprising ~150 people.
  • The DASM teams are waiting for clarification of the impact of the Group’s new orientations on their operational activities.
  • Pagamon supports the DASM in the mapping of its activities.

PROJECT APPROACH

  • Construction of the method:
    • Scope and granularity of the mapping.
    • Objective, content and format of reference and communication documents.
    • Mapping ownership and update process.
  • Initial collection of activities and projects by interviewing each DASM manager and consolidation (cross-checking…).
  • Sharing workshops with the DASM management team:
    • Alignment of the inventory of projects and activities: completeness, granularity, common vocabulary, etc.
    • Documentation of links with strategic orientations and their contribution to the Group’s objectives.
    • Use of the mapping to support certain key operational points, such as the importance of inter-departmental collaboration.

RESULTS

  • Mapping of DASM’s activities and projects with the contributions of the 30 departments, as well as their link to the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Visual presentation of the activity and project map and the key points it highlights.
