PROJECT OUTLINE

  • For this tourism operator, Product Information covers all the information concerning resorts, tours, and cruises, to be delivered to the customer to support the sale (website, information sheet for salespeople, etc.).
  • The information is recorded in a tool with a complex data model: multitude of information, formats, and levels of criticality.
  • Product Information is under the responsibility of a central team of 9 people, in relation with the global matrix organization and the business units.

PROJECT APPROACH

  • Deepen the RUN use case to perform a pilot with the business units.
  • Establish the criticality matrix of the Product Information to simplify its update, from the field to the PDM (Quable).
  • Carry out the inventory and mapping of the Product Information in the PDM and the interfaces that use it.
  • Establish a marketing glossary of Product Information.
  • Involve the Product Information team in Business Intelligence-led data governance.

RESULTS

  • The RUN portfolio use case is now ready to be deployed to all business units.
  • The Product Information organization is ready to support all major use cases.
  • This entity is now involved in data governance activities.
